"POINACHI" is a place in thekkil village , Kasaragod District, Kerala state. The name poinachi derived from a kaavu "Pulinakshi Kavu". Poinachi is situated in between the national highway of Kasaragod and Kanhangad. There is a Dental college named Century Educational Truest. Recently inaugurated UNION Bank ATM counter. Sree Dharma Shastha Bhajana Mandiram and Mubark Juma Masjid are situated very near the town. There is club working last 25 years by name Nethaji Arts and Sports club. Tagore library also functioning last 3 years. Bandadka is about 25 km away from here.
